41 Corozal Students Build Skills for Belize’s Digital Economy
Forty-one students from the Corozal District have completed training in digital marketing and customer relationship management as part of a programme to strengthen digital skills among young people and early-career workers.
The training was organised by the Office of the Prime Minister through the Investment Policy and Compliance Unit, in collaboration with the Corozal Think Tank. A graduation ceremony was held on September 18 to mark the programme’s completion.
Participants were trained in digital marketing, content creation, social media marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship management and marketing automation.
The training included the use of platforms such as Canva, Shopify, and Zoho CRM. Participants also received training in areas including campaign planning, online store development, and analytics.
The programme also incorporated soft skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, professional presentations and confidence when interacting with employers.
According to organisers, the training was designed to prepare participants for opportunities in Belize’s growing digital services sector, including BPOs, micro-businesses and public-sector digital transformation.
