Armed Burglars Target Eighty-Year-Old Pastor
An eighty-year-old pastor is the victim of an aggravated burglary in rural Belize after four men allegedly forced their way into his home in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police say Dennis Slusher was asleep at his residence between two and three a.m. when he was awakened by loud banging at his front door. When Slusher checked, he heard someone shouting, “Open the door, it’s the Police.” The back door was forcibly opened, and four men entered the residence. Two of the men were armed with firearms. One of the attackers reportedly struck Slusher on the side of his head before demanding the keys to his vehicles. The men then stole a grey 2024 Toyota Hilux and a grey 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser. Several cell phones and other items were also taken before the men drove away in both vehicles. Police are continuing their investigation and are asking the public to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicles. According to reports, the pastor does not wish for the matter to be a criminal investigation.
