Two Detained in Brianna Myvette Murder Investigation
Police have recovered video footage that is helping investigators trace a vehicle of interest in the murder of 20-year-old Brianna Myvette, but no motive has yet been established.
Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith says investigators have so far been able to determine the make and model of the vehicle. However, the vehicle did not have a licence plate, and police are continuing to review the footage to determine who boarded it in an effort to advance the investigation.
Two persons of interest were also detained based on statements given to police concerning a suspected motive, but Smith says the information gathered so far has not set anything concrete.
Neither Myvette nor the male person she was with was known to police. Investigators have also not determined whether Myvette, the male person, or both were the intended targets in the shooting.
Smith says police are continuing to investigate and are committing resources to the investigation.
