Belize Jaguars Face Big Test in Gold Cup Pursuit

Tonight’s match could define Belize’s road to Gold Cup qualification. After opening with a victory over St. Maarten on Saturday, the Jaguars return to the FFB Stadium with confidence, but St. Vincent and the Grenadines will present a much tougher challenge. Both teams enter the showdown unbeaten, raising the stakes in Belmopan. Veteran goalkeeper Woodrow West says the opening win energized the squad, but the Jaguars know tonight’s result could prove decisive in their qualification campaign.

“We pulled off the victory, and I think that gave us a better positive mind to go in our second game today. It’s gonna be a competitive match. Both teams won their first game so I think it’s for the marbles this one. So it’s a must-win for us to be alive to continue our dream to Gold Cup. We playing eight o’clock tonight against St Vincent. We ask the people to come out and support. You know, it’s a good thing for us to make Gold Cup and we are doing it in our home field. After tonight’s game, well, we just recover, get back and we continue Saturday again, same time, eight o’clock and you could see more game.”
