Corozal Pickup Stop Uncovers Alleged Abduction
A police interception in San Andres brought an alleged abduction to an end on Saturday. Officers stopped a red pickup truck after receiving reports that two men had been forcibly taken. Inside, they found Ricardo Zetina and Walter Pineda, along with the two men accused of holding them. According to police, the suspects were questioning Zetina and Pineda over allegations that they had purchased stolen property from people in the area. The pair also reportedly took the men to question one victim’s brother before police intervened. Both suspects remain detained and are expected to be charged.

“On Saturday, police intercepted a red pickup truck in Corozal in the San Andres area after information was received that they had forcibly taken two persons in the vehicle. Police found four persons in the vehicle. Ricardo Zetina and Walter Pineda reported that they were forcibly taken into the vehicle and the two persons were inquiring about some stolen items from them. Thereafter, they went to the brother of one of the persons and also questioned him. Thereafter, the police were called. The police intercepted the vehicle and the two suspects are presently in custody and they will be charged sometime today.”
