Bradley Denies Leadership Bid, But Leaves Wiggle Room
Darrell Bradley says the UDP already has enough challenges, and he has no intention of creating another by going after Tracy Panton’s leadership. But what if the party holds a leadership convention and Bradley’s name enters the race? Would he still stay on the sidelines? We put that question directly to him.

“I will not never challenge in relation to the leadership. So, I was a political candidate. I ran in the Caribbean Shores division. I made certain errors and I have learned from those errors. I think that what we need in the UDP is unity. We don’t need more challenges. I will not be somebody who will be a spoiler. I am there. I have made certain indications known and I want to support the UDP. But I will not challenge any person in relation to leadership. I have done that and I think we have had enough confrontation and contention and I think what we need is unity and I want to be a voice and an agent for building that unity.”

“Would mind changes if an opportunity arises in the right setting?”
Darrell Bradley
“Definitely, certainly, if it is something that would be brokered, I think people within the UDP have contributed significantly in the growth of the party and the country. This is something we have spent our life doing. I have been campaigning since I was a teenager. So it is not something I am not going to do. But, my voice will not a voice that will be somebody who challenges or criticize, my voice will be a voice that lends support.”
