“Five years or so ago, my dad was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. So, its been a condition he has been living with, but it gets progressively worse with age. Its an illness that we have fought alongside him since he was diagnosed. Recently, he took ill. We thought it was something else. He was hospitalized and released initially. But the symptoms and the complaints didn’t go away. So, we decided lets get another opinion and took him to BMA and they realized that his kidneys are failing and as a result of that it puts a strain on his heart and the circulation of blood  through his system. He was set to be discharged today and everything was on the up and up and we were all prepared for him to come back home and we would have dealt with the recovery process home. But as I mentioned, something around eight, everything just took a turn for the worst. We are making a sincere and earnest plea for the public to assist us. We have exhausted all our financial resources to help my dad. At this point, he is well known, he is a career educator. He has thought thousands of Belizeans kids who are now adults and remember him. He is a pillar in the Saint Martins, Lake Independence Community, through the Garifuna Museum, through his work as a justice of the peace, even through St. Martins Parish, everybody who attends knows my dad. He has been there since the 70’s. At this point, if you know my dad. If he has impacted you life in anyway, it is a humble request for you to try and help us and save him out of this predicament. I know death is inevitable, we are not here to stay. But if there is anything we can do to try and help him, it would be greatly appreciated.”
