Police Investigates Muffles’ Handling of Allegations
And as we have reported, Muffles College put out a statement last week after News 5 made several attempts to get comment. The school said it takes the allegations seriously and is investigating the matter. Today, police told us that the school’s handling of the allegations is now being investigated especially since the messages date back to 2025.

ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
“If the allegations are as they are alleged to be, it pertains to certainly an instance of breach of trust, because this was not any old adult that the child was communicating with. It was an adult that the child came in contact with at a school. And I will also say that the concurrent investigation is being done as it relates to certain actions or lack thereof on the part of the administration.”

“Do we know if this perhaps if the first and only victim of this counselor?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“We do not know. However, it is hoped that if there should be any more persons who have had such unfortunate instances, that they are assured and that they may come and make that information known to the police, for it to be addressed.”
Reporter
“Was the administration aware that this was going on?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“Yes, we have been advised that it was brought to the administration’s attention and they were, as they say, investigating it. However, as I stated, we are reviewing that conduct to see if the necessary actions were taken or not.”
Reporter
“Would you know how long it was an administrative matter before it became a criminal matter?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“I don’t know how long exactly the administration was aware of it. I will say though that the incident spanned between 2025 and 2026. As I indicated earlier another concurrent investigation is being conducted in relation to the manner it was addressed by the school.”
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
