Missing Police Officer Found in Orange Walk

Police Constable Kenyon Barrow, who was reported missing on September 18, was found in Orange Walk on Thursday morning after police identified him on surveillance footage, according to ASP Stacy Smith.

“PC Barrow was identified on surveillance footage at a location that he was known to frequent prior to his disappearance, “Smith said .

Police were dispatched to the area and located him at approximately 10.30 a.m.

Although Barrow appeared to be in relatively good physical condition, Smith said he was receiving medical treatment as a precaution.

“The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have not yet been established and remain a matter of further inquiry,” Smith said.

Police have also not established whether Barrow remained in Belize throughout his disappearance. Smith said further inquiries would be made after he received the medical treatment he needed.

Smith said Barrow had previously been reported as having abandoned his post, adding that the department would follow the applicable procedures to determine his status as an officer.
