Gunmen Flee with Over $8,000 in Blackman Eddy
A Belizean businessman was injured during an armed robbery that happened at the Puma Gas Station in Blackman Eddy Village, Cayo District.
44-year-old William Wall reported to police that while buying fuel just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, two men on a motorcycle approached him.
Wall said he was confronted at gunpoint and demanded to hand over money. In an attempt to flee, one of the men fired into the ground, which caused a ricocheting stone to strike Wall in the foot and abdomen.
Wall surrendered over $8,000 BZD to the assailants.
