He’s faced life without arms or legs, but tonight, he’s standing tall in Belize. Nick Vujicic, the globally renowned motivational speaker, is here with a message that’s touched hearts across the world. Born with a rare condition called tetra-amelia syndrome, Nick turned personal pain into purpose, rising above bullying, depression, and even a suicide attempt. At just nineteen, he began sharing his story and now, he’s bringing that same message of hope and faith to Belizeans.

“We’re all looking for the same thing. And so there are some countries that are prone to different problems as others, but the same hope is the same hope wherever we go. But Belize actually secretly has been a country I’ve always wanted to go to. And I promise I don’t say that with all the other countries. Because you guys are like the top beautiful. Like beaches, and sand and water and just beauty.”
He will be speaking at a special event at the Digi Park in Belize City, which is being hosted by the Life Church. Pastor Corny Dueck is inviting the public to either come out or tune in to the service via livestream.

“Come out tonight, it’s gonna be a powerful, amazing night. And I just want to say that, if you look around, you see a lot of hopelessness in this country, and I think that we have something happening tonight that we as Belizeans really need. And so just imagine having a gentleman like Nick without limbs coming and full of hope, right? And so there’s no excuses for you not to have hope as well.”
Belize is one of the last stops on Vujicic’s two-year Latin American tour. Through this experience, he’s been able to inspire millions of people. He tells how he finds that connection no matter where he goes.

“I think the people who hear my story connect more than anything with the fact that I know how it feels to have a broken heart. I know how it feels to be held back with fear. And people look at me and they see I have no limbs and we can’t imagine someone else’s pain. I can’t imagine your pain. I don’t know what anyone else is going through, but we can all relate to a broken heart and feelings of hopelessness, experiences of bullying, and sometimes un even accepting ourselves for who we are.”

His mission is to reach as many people as possible, spreading hope and inspiring faith wherever he goes.

“I want everyone to know that hope is everything. And the endeavor and mission is to share the hope of Jesus with the world. Because if you share just motivation, resilience. Values and attitudes. These are wonderful things to be taught in education systems if we can, but what is most important is faith. Because without faith in God, we can’t see broken pieces changing to transformative, miraculous things that God really had in store for us.”
Vujicic has two more stops before he wraps his Latin American tour, after which, he plans to begin a tour of Africa. Britney Gordon for News Five.
