Two Men Injured in Young Street Shooting

Two men were injured in a shooting on Young Street, Belize City, on Tuesday at around 7 o’clock in the night.

Officers found 35-year-old Michael Wells, who sustained a graze from a gunshot. Wells reported that a man riding a bicycle opened fire on a group of men he was part of standing on the street.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Brandon Smith was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital with gunshot injuries to his body.

Police also observed gunshot damage to a grey Mazda Tribute parked nearby.

The motive of the shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
