Teen Confesses to Destroying Police Surveillance Camera
Nineteen-year-old Kyle Arana is facing the consequences after admitting to damaging a government-owned surveillance camera in Belize City. Police say the camera, worth over two thousand dollars, was mounted at the corner of Lavender and Flamboyant Streets when Arana allegedly climbed the post and smashed it with what appeared to be a hammer. The entire act was caught on police footage. Arana, who was picked up over the weekend, appeared in court this morning without an attorney and wasted no time pleading guilty to damage to property. He’s out on fifteen-hundred-dollar bail while he waits for sentencing on September eighth.
