“Our Prime Minister, honorable John Briceno is going to be a keynote speaker. However, we do have invited guests Dr. Ernesto Stein from the Tec de Monterrey. He’s done a very in-depth diagnostic of Belize’s economic performance, as well as identifying opportunities for regional trade and a role that Belize can play as we, move towards regionalization and the opportunities presenting themselves. And then we have Mr. Adam Stewart, the executive chairman of Sandals Resorts International, who are all, they’re all about luxury tourism. And so there’s a lot that our tourism stakeholders can benefit from hearing his perspective, his experience, and we are looking forward to hearing what they have to say and to share with Belize.”

“So we know this event has been going on for a couple years now, and it’s evolved over time. What exciting changes has come to the summit that makes it better every year?”

“So people come to connect, to network, to matchmake, and that is definitely featuring in this year’s edition. We’re giving prominence to that space in terms of the connect zone aspect of the Belize Investment Summit where people are able to request meetings and schedule meetings with either public sector to the private sector or within the private sector itself. And so that is definitely a highlight. We have over two hundred meetings already scheduled. And the idea is really to generate leads that we can then support as a government to see through to fruition in terms of foreign direct investment, attraction, local, domestic investments, and and to have, that sort of economic activity.”
