San Ignacio Woman Reported Missing

Family members of 48-year-old Melany Moody are appealing to the public for help in locating her. On September 7, Moody’s sister shared on Facebook, “We have not seen her in a week.”

Police have since issued an official missing person’s report.

Authorities say Moody, a resident of San Ignacio Town in the Cayo District, “has been reported missing and was last seen on Friday, August 29th, 2025.”

Moody is of Creole descent, with a brown complexion and slim build. She stands at about 5 feet 9 inches and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

The public is urged to report any information on her whereabouts to the nearest police station or contact Crime Stoppers at 922.
