Grandmother Killed in Cayo District Hit-and-Run

Police are investigating a hit-and-run in Cayo District, that claimed the life of Miriam Requena on Sunday.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, “Information is that she was crossing the road when she was struck by a white car, which did not stop.”

A family member shared their grief on social media, stating, “I don’t know how to grieve my best friend who also happened to be my grandma. but I will say that I was so blessed to have gotten to know her.”
