Opposition Leader Denies Voter Fraud Allegations

Leader of the Opposition, Tracy Taegar-Panton has responded to allegations raised against her of voter registration fraud. It is alleged that several addresses in Panton’s Albert constituency have been registered to large numbers of people. One address named was number fifty-six Albert Street, Panton’s own office, where up to eighty-three people are registered. We reached out to Panton today for answers and she replied quote, “I have no comment at this time.  I am unaware of any such review. I am also certain the current PUP Administration does not want to open such a pandora box. I can fully appreciate that they are desperate to find something, anything to create a distraction on how quickly their administration is unraveling and their absolute failure to address critical issues of national importance just six months following the general elections. The people of Belize will not be distracted. We will hold this government administration to account.” end quote.
