Police Vehicle in Disrepair, Ag. Police Commissioner Responds

Acting Commissioner of Police Bart Jones has responded to a video circulating on social media that shows a police vehicle in disrepair.

The video shows the vehicle with missing door handles. Police officers say the vehicle also leaks when it rains and has no functioning air conditioner or defrost system. This, they say, causes the windows to fog up, limiting visibility.

Jones said that the vehicle had previously been involved in an accident and is currently awaiting repairs. He assured the public that funds are already allocated for the necessary work.

“There is a clear procedure in place for the repair of police vehicles,” Jones said. “This vehicle is part of that process, and we expect it to be operational again once repairs are completed.”
