Has Acting ComPol Jones’ Appointment Fueled Bold Crimes?

Now, back to that wave of violence we told you about at the top of the newscast. Today, reporters put a tough question to Acting Commissioner Bart Jones, has his appointment given hardened criminals the confidence to act out? Here’s what he had to say.

“ I wouldn’t say that because it might very well be despite who is in the seat that these things would’ve occurred. And so we have not shifted from any operational focus that we have done, even before Dr. Rosado took this, seat. So we’ve, we’ve not changed in terms of our operation. So these things do in fact happen despite two surveys in the seat. But I take responsibility because  I am the acting commissioner just now. But, but certainly. It is not one that I say well attribute to me personally, but across the department we view these situations very seriously and that was what was being expressed to the commanders in the meeting this morning. That we have a responsibility to the citizen security and we are going to look at also where is in fact that operations would’ve or some failing in  supervisions or other operations that may have, have provided the avenue for these things to happen. And so we are looking at all of that to tighten up on where we’ve perhaps slacking down and to see how we could improve in going forward.”
