Police have arrested and charged 55-year-old Goldburne Glenford Adolphus, also known as “Easy Glen”, a Belize City security guard, with the murder of 42-year-old Shaniele Faber.

Faber’s decomposed body was discovered just before 6 p.m. that same day by a passerby inside a drum meant to be picked up by the garbage truck. Her family remains in shock and grief as they demand justice. “That person needs to pay for what they did to my mom,” said her eldest daughter, Arkeyia Faber. “He needs to pay.”

Surveillance footage shows the murderer at the corner of Amandala Drive and Cemetery Road early that morning. Around 6:39 a.m., a man is seen bending over a blue garbage drum mounted on a trolley. He hangs a plastic bag on a nearby zinc fence, then struggles to reposition the drum after a black bag falls onto the sidewalk. Minutes later, the man returns without the bag and walks toward an apartment complex.

“The investigation includes a review of video footage, which led to the detention of one male suspect who is now in custody. Charges have since been filed,” confirmed Staff Officer Stacy Smith.
