Ladyville Resident Wins 20,000 with One Lucky Ticket

One ticket can change your life. That’s the message one lucky Belizean is sharing tonight, after he walked away with twenty thousand dollars from a scratch and win ticket.  He shares that he had asked his friend to purchase two tickets from the New Moon store in Ladyville, but he only returned with one. Fortunately, that one piece of paper was enough to win big. He tells us more about how he felt on that exciting day.

“We were hanging out and I asked one of my friends to go purchase, he went to shop and I tell him, just buy me two two dollars scratch. So when he came back, I tell ah, I tell you two two dollars scratch. He said I only bring one. So I tell ah alright. I wa take it and about scratching the first part, it take long when I see ten. Then I scratch again and then I see wa next ten. So I have a friend weh have the scanner pan fi he phone and he scan it and he said, da twenty you know. So I tell he you serious? And he showed me and that how I come across mi twenty thousand.”
