U.S. Promotes Rewards for Justice Program

And, you have probably never heard about the Rewards for Justice Program, a U.S. Department of State led initiative that pays people for information on the whereabout of international fugitives. The program has to date paid out more than two hundred and fifty million U.S. dollars and counting.

“The U.S. Department of State manages this program and for international fugitives, or organized crime, some who had headed transnational criminal organizations, some who are not too friendly with the U.S., we offer money to people who provide information hat leads to the whereabouts or arrest of these individuals. The program has been around for quite some time, and the U.S. State Department has paid out in excess of two hundred and fifty million dollars to more than twenty-five people over the last, twenty, thirty years. We want to get terrorist, transnational criminals, pedophiles and others who have broken the law, off the streets and into U.S. custody.
