Opposition’s ‘Who Thief Budna’ Shirts Stir Debate
They turned heads with their wardrobe choice in the House today, members of the Opposition showed up wearing T-shirts that read ‘Who Thief Budna’, a clear reference to the August abduction of Joseph Budna. The move was met with mixed reactions, some saw it as a show of solidarity, others questioned the strategy and who’s advising the Opposition. But the criticism didn’t faze Opposition Leader Tracy Panton. She doubled down, raising the issue during her remarks on the government’s Fortis acquisition. So, while the shirts made a statement, the point couldn’t have been clearer: the Opposition isn’t letting the Budna case fade quietly.

Tracy Panton, Leader of the Opposition
“My colleague for Mesop, who thief Budna, anybody know? Who thief Budna? Who beat ah, who abduct ah, who carry ah across this country? Who thief Budna, but I am not here to talk about who thief Budna. I wont talk about who thief Budna. I wont ask who thief Budna. Because, nobody knows who thief Budna. If you thief the former member for Mesop, if you thief ah, mek ah know who thief ah. And you could keep him. But when we ask the government who is responsible for the policy agenda questions, the prime minister thin skin. Immediately he sees it as a political attack.”
