New Details in Brutal Belize City Home Invasion Dead

A Belize City woman was brutally murdered and her teenage daughter injured during a violent home invasion early Friday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m. on October 24, 2025, police responded to reports of a burglary at a residence on Complex Avenue. When officers arrived at the small green wooden home, they found a young girl suffering from head injuries. Inside, they discovered 35-year-old Delecia Flowers, lying unconscious on a sofa with a large cut wound to the back of her head.

Both mother and daughter were rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment. Unfortunately, Flowers succumbed to her injuries while receiving care and was pronounced dead at 4:48 a.m.

Initial investigations indicate that an unidentified dark-complexioned man broke into the home around 3:00 a.m. and attacked both victims before escaping.

Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene, collecting blood samples and lifting fingerprints as part of the ongoing investigation.
