British Tourist Dies Mysteriously on Caye Caulker

What was supposed to be a dream getaway turned into a nightmare on Caye Caulker. British national Eric Storey checked into his hotel for a relaxing vacation, but just one day later, he was dead. Storey was staying at Casa Vista Hotel when he was found with injuries under circumstances that remain a mystery. He was rushed to the Caye Caulker Health Center, but sadly, he didn’t make it. Tonight, police are digging into what happened, and the questions are mounting. Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith shares what investigators know so far.

“On Tuesday, twenty-eighth October, 2025, police officers attached to the Caye Caulker formation visited the Caye Caulker Health Clinic as a consequence of a report made off an unconscious male person therein. Police have learned the identity of the male person to be Mr. Eric Leonard story, a fifty-two-year-old British National Mr. Story succumbed to injuries that were observed on his body later on that evening. What we have been able to ascertain so far is that several persons were in the area when they would have heard a sound. And upon making inquiry, they would’ve observed Mr. Story on the ground and he was subsequently rushed to the clinic for treatment.”

“What area of Caye Caulker was he found unconscious prior?”

“The hotel location is Casta Vista Hotel, which is located on the north side of Caye Caulker.”

“So what have been established, uh, whether it’s foul play or not?”

 

ASP Stacy Smith

“No information has been ascertained in relation to that. It’s an ongoing investigation.”

“Can you say how long he has been in the country?”

 

ASP Stacy Smith

“He would have signed and booked in at that hotel. Just a day before, I’ve so far not been able to confirm how long he came into the country.”
