Ryan Hyde Dies After Mysterious Pine Ridge Shooting
Police are still investigating the Friday night murder of thirty-two-year-old Ryan Hyde. The Cotton Tree resident was reportedly shot in the head and rushed to the Western Regional Hospital before he was transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further treatment. Reports are that Hyde was found injured on the Pine Ridge Road in the Cayo District, where police found a white pickup truck, with no occupants parked on the side of the road with no occupants and blood stains on both front seats. Police also observed that the rear glass and rear left back door glass of the vehicle were shattered. Hyde’s family says he was showing signs of recovery despite his critical injuries. Sadly, Ryan Hyde didn’t make it. After clinging to life for days, the thirty-two-year-old Cotton Tree resident passed away Monday evening. And now, the questions are piling up, where exactly did he die, and who wanted him dead? Speculation is swirling that this could be tied to gang rivalries, especially given the violent history surrounding his family. But Hyde’s family is firmly rejecting those claims, insisting he had no ties to gang activity. So, what really happened on Pine Ridge Road? Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith has more on this unfolding investigation.

“Any information on it? Yeah.?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“Police are following up on a number of leads as it relates to Mr. Hyde. Mr. Hyde’s investigation proves particularly difficult because we have not been able so far to conclusively establish a crime scene. We have some indications as to where it may have occurred and what may have been the motive in relation to that. However, it is a matter that is an ongoing investigation and it’ll be disclosed as it becomes necessary to do so.”

“Do we know who transferred him to the hospital?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“All of that information is what remains unknown.”

“So they ruled out the possibility of any vehicular accident. However, it indicates that there was a shattered back glass and the rear passenger was shattered. It has not been confirmed it was a bullet or force or anything that”
ASP Stacy Smith
“What I can say is that a vehicle is one of the possible scenes that have been explored and. We are undertaking the necessary forensic examination to be able to make a determination.”
