Enriquez Challenges JLSC After Complaint Dismissal

Earlier this month, Jeremy Enriquez got some disappointing news. The Judicial and Legal Services Commission has dismissed his complaint against Justice Tawanda Hondora, a complaint tied to an injunction case earlier this year. But Enriquez is refusing to yield. Tonight, he’s questioning that decision and says he plans to appeal. So, what’s behind the commission’s ruling, and what’s next in this legal fight?

“We submitted a complaint to the Judicial and Legal Services Commission, a sworn affidavit about the misconduct of Justice Hondora in our injunction case. The judicial and legal services commission, after we submitted our complaint, failed to let us know how they are going to continue with the investigation, what is required, how are we going to be involved in the investigation. Every time I send a letter to say how this is going, they say the matter is being dealt with. We decided after extensive waiting time we submitted to court a request for judicial review. After we submitted that request we got a letter from JLSC saying that it did not meet the threshold for further investigation and the matter was squashed. And we were surprised that this is the way it went. We are going appeal that matter also in court.”
