Father Rushes Son to Hospital After Chopping Attack

A father rushed his son to the Northern Regional Hospital early Wednesday morning after he was chopped multiple times in August Pine Ridge Village, Orange Walk.

61-year-old Emeraldo Diaz told police that around 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, his 32-year-old son, Juan Carlos Diaz, arrived at his home with severe chopping injuries to his body.

According to police, Juan was admitted to the hospital in “critical but stable condition.”

No motive has yet been determined.
