Belize Government Lotteries App Removed from Google Play Store
Just one month after its big debut, the Belize Government Lotteries Limited app has hit a major snag, it’s been pulled from the Google Play Store. The app was initially approved, but Google later flagged it for violating its strict gambling policies. Simply put, Google doesn’t allow apps that let you buy lottery tickets with real money. So, what does this mean for users? If you already downloaded the app, you could still use it to purchase Boledo, Jackpot, and Ordinary Lottery tickets. But no future updates will be available. In response, BGLL has rolled out a web portal that promises the same features and security as the app. And if you’re an iOS user, you’re in luck, the app is still live on the Apple App Store. That’s because Apple allows licensed gambling apps in Belize. So, while Android users will have to switch to the web, iPhone users can keep playing as usual. BGLL says it’s committed to making the experience seamless for everyone.
