Mexican-Flagged Vessel “Captain America” to Make Brief Visit to Belize

The Belize Port Authority (BPA) has announced that the Mexican-flagged offshore supply vessel Captain America will make a brief visit to Belizean waters for legal compliance purposes.

According to the BPA, the vessel, which bears IMO number 9526382 and primarily operates within Mexican waters, is required under Mexican regulations to leave the country’s jurisdiction and call at a foreign port before re-entering Mexico. Belize has been designated for this temporary port call.

The BPA stated that during its short stay, the vessel will anchor in a designated area and will be boarded by Belizean authorities for standard verification and clearance procedures. Once outbound clearance is granted, the Captain America will promptly depart for Mexico.

The Belize Port Authority stressed that the vessel is not authorised to undertake any commercial or operational activities within Belizean waters and that the visit is routine, posing no disruption to national maritime operations.
