61-Year-Old Belize City Vendor Shot Dead

Police are investigating the shooting death of well-known street vendor Wayne “Pie Bwai” Myles who was found inside his Belize City home tonight.

Officers were called to #9 11th Street shortly after 8.00 p.m. and reported finding the 61-year-old lying face-up in his apartment with a gunshot wound to the upper left side of his body.

His brother, Floyd Myles, told police he heard about three gunshots and saw a silver vehicle speeding past him near the area.

Police have not identified a motive.
