Another Murder in Just Over 24 Hours

The Old Capital recorded its second murder just hours apart. 41-year-old contractor Earl Archer was shot dead on Pelican Street Extension late Saturday night.

Police say the attack happened just after 10:30 p.m. Officers arrived to find Archer with gunshot injuries. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The first killing occurred on Friday night when well-known street vendor Wayne “Pie Bwai” Myles was shot inside his 11th Street home. Police discovered Myles lying face-up with a gunshot wound to the upper left side of his body.

No motives have been confirmed in either case.
