Inspiration Center Marks 15 Years with Creative Change
For fifteen years, the Inspiration Center has been a beacon of creativity and empowerment for children with disabilities in Belize. Founded by Kim Simplis-Barrow, the center has made it a tradition to showcase the artistic talents of its young clients through annual projects. From mugs to calendars, their art now brightens everyday life, proof of resilience and creativity. This year, the center is taking a different direction by featuring these creations on T-shirts. It is a reminder that, with the right opportunities, every child can thrive.

“Well it has been fifteen years since we have been doing summer artwork with our kids, the clients here at The Inspiration Center. Over the years we have been doing calendars because everyone has a phone so they have a calendar there. WE have put the artwork on different things, the cup and other things. This year we decided to put it on t-shirt. We had about seven or eight of our clients that did artwork. It is always a way in December to close of on a high note with our clients and their families, to have their families here and to recognize the children and the work they do. For them doing the artwork and for us doing this activity is a highlight that our children can thrive. They just need that opportunity, an opportunity we at the Inspiration Center try to give them every single time.”
