Minister Driver Allegedly Pulls Gun in Road Rage Incident
We turn now to a troubling allegation that’s making headlines tonight, an incident involving the driver of Minister Henry Charles Usher and young businessman Zach Reich. Both men are telling very different stories, but here’s what we know: the situation reportedly involved reckless driving, a vehicular pursuit, and even a firearm. Reich claims that the minister’s driver, Harrison Blades, pointed a gun at him during the confrontation at a grocery store. But Fort George Area Rep Henry Charles Usher shared a different account of what took place over the weekend. He told News Five that they were the ones being pursued by Reich after he allegedly attempted to run them off the road. Nonetheless, when Reich tried to file a police report, he says an officer warned him not to proceed. Tonight, police confirm that the Professional Standards Branch has been called in to ensure this investigation is handled properly.

“Statements are being recorded from other persons who were on the scene. And wherever this investigation takes us, that is where we will go. But I will also want to say that we have tasked persons from the professional standards branch to reach out to Mr. Rich for him to provide us with us. Statement as it relates to the statement that he’s making in terms of being told by a particular police officer that his statement will not be taken or, or it’ll not be updated in the sims, in the interest of his safety. It can never be that a person goes to a police station for assistance and is left feeling more concerned about their safety. So certainly we will be taking actions in that regard.”

“Just a short follow up. What is someone to do in that instance?”
ASP Stacy Smith
“Certainly there are professional standard branch offices all over. The office of the Commissioner of police. Remains available at all time, can be reached by phone or by email to report such incidents.”
