Belize Police Bring Holiday Cheer to Communities
In the lead-up to Christmas 2025, police formations across Belize spread holiday cheer through community outreach and festive initiatives.
On December 23, the Benque Viejo Police Formation distributed Christmas food hampers across Benque Viejo Town, Arenal Road, Santa Cruz, Saint John Paul II Boulevard, San Jose Succotz, and Calla Creek Village, with some officers also receiving hampers. The formation thanked local businesses for their contributions, which made the initiative possible.
The Corozal Formation hosted a Children’s Christmas Party for the children of police officers, offering food, gifts, games, and piñatas. The event aimed to honor officers’ dedication while creating joyful memories for their families.
Safety remained a priority in Dangriga, where the Road Policing Unit and Community Policing Unit, led by Cpl. Reyes, collaborated with the National Drug Abuse Control Council and the Town Council Traffic Department for a D.U.I.D. checkpoint at Gulisi Primary School, educating motorists on safe driving during the festive season.
Further north, the North Base Team on San Pedro organized a Toy Drive Christmas Party on December 22, attended by 150 children and their parents. Gifts, food, games, and grocery hampers were distributed, highlighting the police’s commitment to community support and outreach.
