23-Year-Old Woman Dies in Early Morning Motorcycle Accident

Police are investigating a deadly traffic accident in Santa Familia Village that claimed the life of twenty-year-old Esmeralda Chi. The crash happened early Tuesday morning, around shortly after six o’clock. When officers arrived, Chi was found unresponsive with injuries to the right side of her face, and the motorcycle she was riding showed heavy front-end damage. Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith says investigators are still working to determine what caused this tragic accident.

“Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that resulted in the death of twenty-three-year-old Esmeralda Chi, which occurred sometime around six fifteen a.m. in Santa Familia Village, Cayo District. The investigations commenced when officers were alerted that the body of a female was seen in that area, and upon the arrival of police, they observed the unresponsive Ms. Chi and also some feet away from her was a Lifan brand motorcycle so far. The investigation has not uncovered what caused the accident, and that matter is still being pursued. The report does not show that a helmet was that the helmet was there. So generally when that is the case no helmet was being worn. Ms. Chi was observed with injuries to the right side of her face, and the motorcycle was observed to be exhibiting damage to the front portion of that cycle.”
