U.S. Delivers Emergency Vehicles to Belize

The United States Embassy in Belize says a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft from Joint Base Lewis-McChord has delivered four emergency vehicles to Southern Emergency Services, strengthening emergency response efforts across the country. According to the embassy, the vehicles will be used to support disaster and emergency operations in communities throughout Belize.

The embassy explained that the delivery was made through the Denton Humanitarian Assistance Program, a U.S. initiative that transports donated relief supplies aboard U.S. military aircraft at no cost to donors. The program supports Belize and other regional partners by moving items such as medical equipment, school materials, and food.

The U.S. Embassy in Belize added that by using unused cargo space on military flights, the United States is able to provide humanitarian assistance while building stronger partnerships. The effort forms part of U.S. Southern Command’s mission to promote safety, resilience, and prosperity in the region.
