Kyron Armstrong Gunned Down in Targeted Attack
Police are trying to identify the man behind a deadly shooting in Belize City on Saturday afternoon. Twenty-eight-year-old Kyron Armstrong was inside a security booth at Constitution Park on Cemetery Road when a gunman struck. The shooter hid his identity with a motorcycle helmet and escaped. Investigators say Armstrong may have been targeted. Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith revealed that police had spoken to him back in December after a previous shooting attempt. Tonight, authorities are working to track down the killer.

“On Saturday tenth January 2025 at approximately one p.m. precinct one police responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of constitution park on Cemetery Road. Upon the arrival of the officers, they observed a male person in a booth on that compound and the male person exhibited several gunshot wounds to the body. He was transported to the KHMH for medical attention; however he later succumbed to the injuries he sustained. The male person was identified as Kyron Dwayne Armonstrong, a twenty-eight-year-old Belizean of Fabers Road extension. What the investigation has so far suggested is that Mr. Armstrong was inside the booth and a male person who wore a helmet enter the booth and fired several shots which led to his demise. The male person then made his escape onboard a motorcycle. Police have retrieved a number of video footage which shows the activities of those person prior to and during the incident and they are being carefully reviewed.”
