Police Cracking Down on Bella Vista as Shooting Suspect Arrested

Four months after the fatal shooting of Narjin Ceron in Bella Vista Village, police have arrested 21-year-old Jerdell Benjamin King of Independence Village.

On September 6, just after 2 a.m., a gunman entered a family home in Bella Vista Village and opened fire. Ceron, 24, was killed instantly, while his partner, Nickey Logan, was hit six times as she shielded their toddler.

The Police Department has since increased operational and intelligence presence in the area following the rise in violent incidents in the village.

King now faces one count of murder for the death of Nergin Ceron and one count of attempted murder for injuries sustained by Nickey Logan.
