CDF Spending Details to Be Released

In October 2025 social activist Jerry Enriquez used the Freedom of Information Act to request details of how the Constituency Development Fund is being allocated. Well, there has been some development in relation to that request. The Office of the Prime Minister informed Enriquez that the requested information will be made available today.

“Each Area Representative receives an amount of money for his constituency. What we are asking through the Freedom of Information Act is for the Prime Minister’s Office to reveal how much is granted to each area rep and to state how that money is being used in these electoral divisions. We want to ensure there is accountability and transparency and that they are not just dishing out people’s money for it to be used wastefully. The Office of the Prime Minister promised they would have those figures to us. First they said by December fifteenth, and we granted an extension in accordance with their request and so by now they should have had those figures to us. We are still waiting and I am confident in the words and in the promise of the Cabinet Secretary that he will get it to us.”
