Belize, Guatemala Foreign Ministers Meet at OAS Border Office

Belize’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Francis Fonseca, and his Guatemalan counterpart, Carlos Ramiro Martínez, are meeting today at the Western Border’s Adjacency Zone Office of the Organization of American States (OAS).

Also attending is Antonia Urrejola, Special Representative of OAS Secretary-General Sebastian Kraljevich for Belize and Guatemala.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, both ministers and their delegations will receive presentations on the office’s 2025 activities aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.

The discussions come as Belize and Guatemala continue efforts to resolve their territorial dispute at the International Court of Justice peacefully.
