Over $100K in Unclaimed Winnings to Go to Charity

More than one hundred thousand dollars from last year’s Million Dalla Jackpot will be donated to charity after one winning ticket went unclaimed.

Belize Government Lotteries Limited (BGLL) confirmed that eight of the nine winning tickets from the December 20, 2025 draw were redeemed. It had a total payout of $888,888.88.

One ticket was never presented, leaving $111,111.11 unclaimed.

In a public notice, BGLL stated: “Prize winnings which are not claimed within thirty (30) days from the drawing date shall be forfeited.”

“Customarily, all unclaimed winnings of the games administered by the Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. revert to the company’s total revenue,” it added.

However, the game did not produce a profit this year, and the Board of Directors decided the unclaimed winnings would still be donated.

The recipient will be determined at the Board’s mid-February meeting.
