Trump Threatens Iran With Military Strike

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened military strikes against Iran if the country refuses to negotiate a new nuclear deal.

The warning was issued in a post on Trump’s Truth Social account, where he announced that a “massive Armada” led by the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group was moving closer to Iran, with U.S. forces preparing for a multi-day air exercise.

“It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose,” Trump wrote, describing the fleet as larger than the one previously deployed to Venezuela. He added that the force was “ready, willing, and able to rapidly fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary.”

The president urged Iran to “come to the table” and agree to a deal that ensures “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS,” warning that time was running out.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations responded in an X post stating, “Iran stands ready for dialogue based on mutual respect and interests—BUT IF PUSHED, IT WILL DEFEND ITSELF AND RESPOND LIKE NEVER BEFORE!”

The exchange comes after months of protests and unrest inside Iran.
