PG Businessman Charged in Child Sexual Assault Case

Police in the south have filed charges against a Punta Gorda businessman after a 12‑year‑old girl reported that he repeatedly acted inappropriately toward her. The investigation began on Monday morning when the child and her mother visited the police station to make a formal complaint about incidents that reportedly took place at his business last year. After reviewing statements and gathering evidence over the past several days, investigators moved in on Thursday. Officers arrested forty‑nine‑year‑old Owen William Cadle and charged him with multiple offenses, including two counts of sexual assault. Police say the case remains open as they continue to interview witnesses and strengthen their file ahead of court proceedings.
