Police Believe He Murdered Clinton Pou
Twenty-one-year-old Luewin Link has been charged with the murder of Clinton Delton Pou, which occurred last Tuesday in Belize City.
He also faces additional charges of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, and dangerous harm in relation to injuries sustained by 27-year-old Kiandra Pou.
The shooting occurred near a food trailer at the fish market, where Pou and his sister were reportedly when gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire.
Police officers who were already in the area responded immediately and pursued the suspects. During the chase, officers fired at one of the men on the motorcycle, 40-year-old Ryan Barnett, injuring him. Barnett and Pou later died.
An eyewitness described the scene as chaotic, saying it appeared to be a shootout with multiple rounds fired in quick succession.
The assault was not the first attempt on Pou’s life. In 2019, he survived a separate shooting at his North Front Street residence after two men entered and opened fire, injuring him.
