Public Officer Andrew Wade Arrested in Belmopan Drug Bust

Police say officers moved in on a home in the Piccini area of the capital and found more than sixteen pounds of cannabis neatly packaged and ready for distribution. The resident, forty‑five‑year‑old public officer Andrew Wade, is now under arrest and facing charges of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

“Police have formally arrested and charged Andrew Wade, a forty-five-year-old public servant of Belmopan City for the offense of possession of a controlled drugs with intent to supply to another. The arrest follows police’s execution of a search warrant at a residence in the Picini area of Belmopan in the presence of Mr. Wade. This search resulted in the discovery of ten parcels of suspected cannabis, which when weighed amounted to sixteen-point-three pounds.”
