Frustration is mounting among relatives of missing Belize City resident Deborah ‘Bree’ Arthurs, who has now been unaccounted for 21 days, with no confirmed leads into her disappearance.

Arthurs, a call center employee and mother of one, was last seen on Friday, March 27, in the vicinity of La Popular Bakery. According to reports, she entered a silver Chevy Equinox and has not been heard from since.

Despite ongoing police efforts, authorities say there has been no major breakthrough in the investigation. The last official update was provided on Monday, April 13.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Stacy Smith confirmed that investigators are continuing to pursue leads, particularly focusing on the vehicle Arthurs was last seen entering. “Unfortunately I do not have any update; however, efforts are still being made… we have the vehicle which we believe to be the vehicle that Ms. Arthurs was last seen entering, and we are following up on that investigation in that regard and seeking several persons,” Smith said.

Family members, however, are expressing growing concern over the pace and transparency of the investigation.  Arthurs’ sister took to social media, criticizing the police department and calling for more openness. She questioned how many more young women must go missing before stronger action is taken and urged authorities to publicly identify persons of interest in such cases.

The family has also increased the reward for information leading to Arthurs’ whereabouts to BZD $10,000.
