Police Step Up Search for Missing Dangriga Man, Lidahni Martinez

Police are intensifying their search for answers in the disappearance of a young man from Dangriga. Twenty three year old Lidahni Martinez has not been seen since late March, after leaving his home in an SUV and failing to return. Investigators say they’ve recorded multiple statements and are now looking for two individuals they believe can help move the case forward. Police are also being tight lipped about whether Martinez’s disappearance may be linked to another ongoing investigation. News Five has more from Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith.

“Police are investigating the disappearance of twenty-three-year-old Lidahni Martinez of Dangriga Town. The investigation commenced on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, when the common-law wife of Martinez reported to police on March 27th, 2026, sometime after 3:00, her common-law husband left their home onboard an SUV and up to the time of her making that report she had not heard from him. Police have recorded a number of statements in connection with this ongoing investigation and are now seeking two individuals who we believe may be able to assist with the investigation.”
