One Detained After Fatal Stabbing in Belize City

Police have detained one person following the fatal stabbing of 56-year-old Marl Longsworth in Belize City early this morning.

Investigators say Longsworth was seen running along Mopan Street around 12:30 a.m. before collapsing at the corner of Mopan and Ebony Streets with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.

His body is awaiting a post-mortem examination as police continue their investigation.
