Escape in Black SUV Ends in Arrests, Murder Case Cracked
A brazen shooting in Unitedville has now led to murder charges, one of the accused is a minor. Police say they have cracked the case behind the killing of Allen Gongora, who was gunned down at his home on Tuesday night in an attack that rattled the quiet community. Residents reported hearing gunfire and then spotting a man running from the scene. Investigators say the suspect jumped into a black SUV and sped off in the direction of Belmopan. Now, just days later, authorities believe they have tracked down those responsible. A male minor and a twenty-seven-year-old man are both facing murder charges, marking a major development in the case.

“As a consequence of the ongoing investigation into the murder of forty-three-year-old Allen Gongora, which occurred on nineteenth May 2026 in Unitedville, Cayo District, police have formally arrested and charged two persons, being a fifteen-year-old male minor of Belize City and twenty-seven-year-old Jevon Ramclam, also of Belize City, for the crime of murder. Investigators anticipate that additional arrests will be made as this ongoing investigation continues. As it relates to the inquiry, it is an ongoing investigation, both in relation to the firearms that were discovered as well as the additional persons. You would know that whenever firearms are seized, there’s a process that is conducted, which includes it being submitted to the National Forensic and Science Services Laboratory for forensic testing. And we have also been gathering further information to assist in the investigation. As I had indicated, we do anticipate that further arrests will be made in relation to the apprehension as well as the discovery.”
Earlier this week, ASP Stacy Smith confirmed that the incident is believed to be drug related.
